These terms cover your use of Paris Tourism Guide at paristourism.org. Reading the site means you accept them. They are short and written in plain language, because a page nobody can read protects nobody.

What this site is, and what it is not

Paris Tourism Guide publishes editorial travel writing about Paris and the Île-de-France. We are not a travel agency, a tour operator, a ticket reseller, or an agent for any hotel, museum, or transport authority. We cannot book a room for you, sell you a Navigo pass, hold a table at a restaurant we have written about, or intervene if a reservation you made elsewhere goes wrong. Every booking you make is a contract between you and that supplier, and their terms govern it, not ours.

Accuracy, and why Paris makes it hard

We research each guide against primary sources and revise it when we learn something has moved. Even so, this is a city where the details change faster than any publishing schedule. Museum admission is repriced, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay shift their late-opening nights, RATP closes Metro stations for months of renovation, Navigo and Paris Visite fares are revised, restaurants close for the August break or for good, and a strike can rewrite a day’s transport with a few hours’ notice. Treat what you read here as a well-researched starting point, and confirm anything time-critical — opening hours, closing days, prices, last trains — with the venue or operator before you rely on it.

We give no warranty that the content is complete, current, or error-free, and we are not liable for a trip that goes differently than a guide suggested it might.

Your own judgement while travelling

Decisions about your trip remain yours. That includes checking whether you need a visa or an ETIAS authorisation for France, arranging travel and medical insurance, understanding what your policy actually covers, watching your belongings in the places where pickpocketing is common, and reading your government’s current travel advice for France. Nothing here is legal, medical, immigration, or financial advice.

We link outward constantly — to the RATP and Île-de-France Mobilités, to Paris Musées and individual museum ticketing pages, to the city’s own listings, and to operators we mention. Those sites are run by other people. We do not control what they publish, what they charge, or how they handle your data, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Advertising and commercial relationships

This site is funded by advertising, and some pages carry affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you book through them at no extra cost to you. Advertising never buys a recommendation or a position in a ranking here. Editorial decisions are made before any commercial consideration and are not revisited because of one.

Our content and your use of it

The writing, photography selection, and page structure on this site are ours or are licensed to us. You are welcome to read, print, and share our guides for your own trip planning, and to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing whole articles, scraping the site in bulk, or feeding it into a dataset without written permission is not permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Paris Tourism Guide is not liable for any loss, cost, missed connection, cancelled booking, or disappointment arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may revise these terms as the site changes. The version on this page is the one that applies, and material changes will be noted here. These terms were last updated in August 2026.
